Wondrous

I simply adore electronic music so soft like this. The vocaloid fits in perfectly too, a good use of her. I think vocaloids sound too harsh but with something like this it's beautiful. Progressive and comfortably sleepy-like. Great work!

Sensational.

A wonderful style of drum n bass. With soft, mellow synths half-quietly humming an ethereal melody as the drum n bass take more of a lead without being too overpowering. I really like this. It's one kind of electronic music that really catches me. Great work!

much appreciated :D i'm trying to avoid doing the given thing if you know what i mean. im trying to experiment with new techniques. keep an eye on this page for the completed version and keep listening! :D

Nice.

It's like a heavy tango, since the sound can be overwhelming when the rolling drums enter, though I like and kind of dislike that fullness. Otherwise it stays true to a lovely tango or cabaret aura. Cool old work!

GV14982 responds:

Yeah, I felt like there was something a little off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it, so I just left it :) Thanks for listening and reviewing!

So...

I really appreciate the slightness of the underlying strings, they add power to the piano The sound of the piano is nice too, though I sort of thought the key change was...a bit unsettling but once it got back in the groove it evened out that feeling. There's a hint of emptiness in this, a drag on the melodies that loses me as a listener. But the orchestration is perfect. The coupled woodwinds and strings with the piano in front are magical. Perhaps a need to take the orchestration even further to enhance the sound. Great work!

pftq responds:

Yes, I agree with the emptiness and key change - was the part that bugged me most too but couldn't figure out how to fix. Will take your suggestions to mind, thanks!

Wow.

I love how very soft it is while still being intriguing, thoughtful, and interesting. Especially the inclusion of the baseline, which really keeps it motivated. The perfect kind of ambient music, to me.

Oh.

Your voice is very pleasurable to listen to. Very...pleasurable...

Nice little cute ditty, though I can't say I'm a Brony, but I like what came out of your inspiration from it...hee-haw.

AEPfx responds:

Thank you so much, I just started watching to see what all the fuss was about and it was surprisingly really funny.

Mmmmmzzzzzzzz.

I like this. It's different. It's sort of unpredictable. I like the driving tick tock groove that keeps the piece up. The instrumentation is perfect and the melodies all fit together nicely. In my opinion, I don't feel a lullaby aura, but a waiting-in-a-waiting-room sort of aura. A cutely nervous feel. Excellent job!

Decibel7 responds:

Ah perhaps you're right. I was tired and couldn't sleep so I wrote this to help. It did!

Hmm...

I think I understand why you're having such trouble finishing it. I mean, this loop sounds perfect as it is. Expanding on it may be a little difficult since you've got some pretty solid stuff going on already. Perhaps a tiny bit more emphasis on the bassline, with like a new melody that is a deep bass. Or maybe harmonizing the main melody. Idk...seems tough to progress :c

JohnnyFrizz responds:

Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate your concern, I guess I'll see what I can do, or maybe just leave as a loop like you said ^^

I'll wait for some other comments b4 making my decision B]

Mmmmm

I love me some nightlife jazz. Those saxophones sound marvelous in the middle when the soprano and tenor harmonize. I think it would be nice to have incorporated the piano more in the piece and possibly to have added a sort of freestyle part for the saxophones. That would really really spice this up even more. Overall, a great song. Excellent job!

JMChurch responds:

You and I both. The funny thing was I stumbled upon the saxophone by chance, just glancing at soundfont sites, and bam, it was there. I tried incorporating the piano more into the piece in earlier versions, but it just didn't have the same relaxed feel this has now, sadly, I took it out due to that. However as for the freestyle, perhaps in further compositions I will take that into account. Thanks for listening, and for the review!

Thanks,
JMChurch

Love.

Goes along perfectly with the title. It has a peaceful sky feel to it. To me, it sounds as if it could be awesome backtracking to an indie pop song or something...excellent work!

Just an awkward clown that showed up late to the clown pile. I love to provide goofy-spook music but I'm open to anyone that challenges my comfort zone. Send me details of your lifestory when you get the chance!
