Very very good! I'm guessing that you're playing the violin, which was excellent in all its dips and gliss. The instruments were all handled with such realism I really can't believe how well that was executed. The voices gave a nice touch, but the violin really did keep the whole piece going. A couple of things I thought could make this better...its instrumentation was empty to me. The drums were soft - soft - soft - then a little bit heavier - then back to that soft. In general, that's how the song flowed. Not many big changes, just a kind of drone. I also thought the melodic lines could have been more concrete to make the piece stand out and that a little bit more reverb on things would make the song more mystical. But overall, I have to say this is outstanding. A wonderful addition of world music to a monotonous list of the same old same old. Fantastic job!

Cool! Videogameish 8-bit with many twists. Really nice melody that catches on. The dramatic change at 01:22 caught me off guard...at first wasn't sure if I liked it, but it got to me eventually. Ahhh yes especially since now I hear it's like a segue into the melody's key change. Very nice and creative. The ending made me smile with the filter sweeping that last note into the echoing void ha. I really like this, great job!

OhhhHHHHH. Sexy. Nice range. Generic guitar+guy, but changed up a little in the chorus with the marimbly xylophonic things...oh and pizzis how cheerful. Why isn't this a full song?! Your mixing is great, balanced, and fair. Just need to get on with it and write out a nice little bridge and a come-together final chorus. Yep, nice job!

Looovely waltzzz!!!! Such wonderful obscurity in this neat melody. Would have been nice if it had not just faded out at the end, but I loved the instrumentation and the rhythms anyways. Obviously could be worked on more in the writing aspect, since you did just let it kinda die at the end. Anyways, what a great song. I can't resist a waltz.

I agree. The introduction was long and the vocals could have been incorporated much more. But considering the constraints this song had, it is quite well done. Good mix and instruments, though I think there could have been a little more creativity, especially with the piano part. I'm assuming the lyrics are Icelandic? How extremely interesting to hear that being used. Anyways, great job!

Maybe if I ever get the idea of continuing with this song I will write better piano. I have to admit that I ended this three hours in because of frustration with the drums. Usually when I play drums I have to practice the written beat for hours on end in order to get it right (and I was stupid enough to do this song in 9/4). I was just too fed up after doing the drums too even care about the piano.

[Yes this is in Icelandic. I have a harder time writing lyrics in English and I was going for speed.]

Really cool! I like the melody, the choice of sounds, and how the rhythm is broken up at various points. A couple of things I thought could use some more...the sweeps used to transition to the next phrase seemed soft, so there wasn't much climax afterwards. The writing also sounded a bit anticlimactic to me. There were so many layers, but each layer sounded like it had its own 16 measures before changing to the next layer, which dragged it on. I think more dramatic changes would make the song more exciting and also cut down the duration a little bit. Other than that, I think you've got a great song. There's definitely a rainbow of timbres here. Nice work!

Hey thanks a lot for the little review :) ! It's good to have some external PoV ('cause after hearing the song so many times while working on it it's hard to find what need to be changed ^^). I think you're right on most of the points, i should really force myself into cutting those 8/16 measures ... and for the sweeps it's one point on which i don't spend enough time (but i definitly should). I'm still working on making good drops but i hope i'll get better to it ! Anyway thanks a lot again :) (and sorry for my poor english, i'm french so ... ^^)

Why do you need tips? (Unless you mean like money tips, which I won't give anyways) I literally thought the beginning rumble was a helicopter about to intersect my house and I got scared. You guys are soooo lovely as always. Stupendous creep techno house. I just sneezed. Much love <3

Very dark ambient. Definitely felt the molecular level of a silver helix at 2:55. I like its softcore hardcore quality, reminds me of Silent Hill boss fights. The collective of your music reminds me of múm. A few iffy things...the beginning, which I loved, was not connected to the beginning that was actually connected to the rest of the song. If it was more so, I think that would have been more enjoyable. Also the looping quality was not present, it was a standalone song. Just a few minor things, but the use of the cavern atmosphere and especially the choirs really stood out for me. This would serve a great suspenseful purpose in the background of some horrific videogame event. I really do see something Silent Hill...running from a violently twitching flesh creature wearing a dirty angel costume. Its quickly gliding along the ground at you while you're darting through the hallways of a gigantic ruined chapel. You find a metal crosier on the ground and manage to beat the creature to death, but you turn around to find five more rushing to get you. Anyways, it's an honor to be dedicated too! Thanks for that and for making this neat darkness song!

That's one of my musical strategies. When I compose dark music, I kill off the absolute beauty in exchange for a bloody chaotic musical purgatory. The beginning was intentional, in a way that I could explain by asking you to envision someone stepping into the graveyard next to the chapel before they enter it. As soon as they stepped into what appeared to be a beautiful place, their reality is met with certain doom.

I'm not sure, though. When I composed this song, I DIDN'T want any long-lasting beauty. I wanted a mix of darkness and light, but mostly darkness. The beginning was a very short introduction into a whirlpool of madness, I think.

If you haven't already, I've uploaded the best quality on a Youtube account. The atmosphere is not only greater, but it's accompanied by a picture that will give you an idea what was on my mind, and why the introduction isn't what you expected it to be. Extending the introduction would be like extending ''I'm A Barbie Girl''. It would be utterly annoying - period. Now, I accept criticism, but I take criticism into consideration before I take the criticism. <3

First of all, it is so adorable that you and OcularNebula are buds. I was going to say that this sounds like something in his realm, but I researched!!! I'm really really digging the melody and how melodious it is. The way it progresses so effortlessly and how it's so different and interesting. The instrumentation seemed the same yet always sounded like it was changing, the very soft beat is an excellent choice, and I don't think the whistle sound was overused. I think you two create a whole new genre, in my opinion. You experiment with electronically unconventional melodies and time signatures, yet keep an appealing aspect to it...I mean with these kind of pieces that are quirky, which I loooove. The only thing off with me was the ending, its abruptness was a little disappointing to me. Anyways, glad to have noticed you, gonna favorite youuu BYE.
